and the weed-killing wagon
on 'Slough Estates Sidings'

"Slough Estates Sidings" (O-gauge) is a faithful recreation of the area near the Farnham Road railway bridge in Slough, as it was until the late 1960s, where the private Slough Trading Estate railway connected to the national network.

Here were 'exchange sidings': goods trains from the network could be dropped off, and wagons for the factories on the estate could be sorted and taken onwards by the Estates' own locomotives.

This 22-foot long layout features models of the locomotives operated by Slough Estates over the years, including Slough Estates No.3; Slough & Windsor Railway Society are custodians of the full size locomotive, which is now preserved at the Middleton Railway, Leeds.
